Apple Pie 1



Ingredients

8 inch pie

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 5 cups thinly sliced pared tart apples (about 5 medium)
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 9 inch Two Crust Pastry

9 inch pie

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 cups thinly sliced pared tart apples (about 6 medium)
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 9 inch Two Crust Pastry

Directions

Place the sliced apples in a bowl. Top with the sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon. Toss to distribute evenly.

Pour the apple mixture into a pastry lined pie pan. Dot with butter and cover with pastry.

Bake at 425° F. for 15 minutes reduce temperature to 350° F. and bake 30 to 45 minutes until done.
